The Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County is inviting volunteers, businesses and community members to take part in its upcoming Blitz Build June 16-25 at Pronghorn Crossing, a collaborative effort with Blitz Home Builders, a team of skilled, retired volunteers who travel the country to help Habitat affiliates complete major build efforts. Together, four homes will be raised from the ground up in just 10 days. No construction experience is required to participate. Habitat staff provide training, tools and supervision for volunteers throughout the build. Community members, businesses, faith groups and civic organizations are encouraged to get involved by volunteering for a build day, sponsoring the project, or helping spread the word. Volunteer shifts will be available throughout the build week. Those interested in volunteering or supporting the Blitz Build can learn more and sign up at www.cheyennehabitat.org.
